We were blown out of the water, so to speak, when our first offspring arrived from the pairing of offspring from Show Stopper, and offspring from Oh Happy Day. One of the first was LUA ShowStopper's August, both he and LUA ShowStopper's MasterPlan are some of the top animals produced on our Farm, and that is saying a lot, because we are so very grateful to have been fortunate breeders of several Outstanding llamas. We had been searching for just the right young male to bring in to compliment our farm, and continue our line of breeding these phenomenally great animals. I had commented that if anyone has a male that looked like August to please let me know, as that is what we were looking for. I had reached out to several breeders, inquired about many males, some never gave opportunity, but then opportunity presented itself during the March 2024 Online sale. I had spotted a young picture of Stoney while doing some online browsing and checked in with his breeder Pam Campbell. Pam then shared that she had listed him in the upcoming online Auction. Pam provided videos and more pictures, and we were set to bid. Fortunately for us, we won the top bid!! Stoney is so fun and silly in his antics!! We all just love him!! He has shown very well!! We began breeding with him on October 22nd, 2025. We sure hope he will be as wonderful of a sire that we believe he can be. You can see some of his exciting show career on our Winner's Circle page. After acquiring Stoney (above) we still knew we needed to bring in another young male. Our searching continued. Similar young males that were also sired by the same male as Quick Silver had peaked my interest, often. When Mat and Paul (Quick Silvers breeders) made Quick Silver available, we inquired. They were very nice to work with, and once I seen him in person at The 2025 ILR National Show, The Gathering, we decided then that he needed to come to Michigan! Some interesting facts regarding his genetics, is not only is he sired by a National Champion, through his dam line, he traces back to The Great Tuna Catcher; National Champion E.L. Red Alert; and twice to the incredible Riny's King Crimson! Throughout the years I have trusted the 'unctions' provided, and have been grateful as to the outcome of the Herd Sires that have brought our farm to where we are today. They, and the outstanding Ladies in production, as we also give a lot of thought and credit to our Dams. We are forever grateful.
