Welcome to the 8th Millennium Magic Open Double Llama Show;
Breeders' Futurity; Saturday evening Llama Auction followed
by our Fellowship dinner with door prizes! The Lenawee 4-H

having food available for us during Saturday and Sunday
and providing the 4-H center for our use. The dinner will
be buffet style this year and will include Chicken, Beef
and all the fixin's: tossed salad, potatoes, vegetables,
roll and dessert. Please order your meals with your entries.
Please bring a donated item for our donation table so that
all can enjoy receiving a special prize! The more that donate,
the more numbers we can draw! If you cannot attend our weekend
festivities, but would still like to donate, please do!
We have the same great photographers this year as we have
always had and many nice awards that include free 5x7 photos.
You will find the weekend jam packed with some New
and exciting twists! New
Youth Halter Classes! New Miniature
Halter Classes! New Best of Show
for our Open Llama Show! New Novice
Performance classes & Championship! New
ILR points earned for Novice Performance classes!
New We will be offering a Llama
Auction of only 20 Llamas! New
I will take consignments and will post these sale llamas
on my website as well as do mass emailing to give many the
opportunity to view our sale offerings, and make needed
accommodations prior to our sale. New
These sale llamas will be auctioned off at 5:00 p.m. before
our Fellowship Dinner and free drawings, when everyone has
come together after the show! I will make a sale listing
with photos that will go into each exhibitor's show packet.
Local advertising for the MM events as well as listings
on the ILR Events Calendar and in many major publications!
We will have a parade of the sale llamas during the show
on Saturday! This has always been an integral part of previous
MM shows and we want to offer this opportunity for both
buyer and seller at a special time during our weekend! We
have had new buyers, 4-H families, breeders and exhibitors
buying llamas here at past Millennium Magic auctions! For
these llama auction animals, send me a photocopy of their
registrations, a brief write up, and a good photo for the
above uses. This can be done by email for your convenience.
New Our dinner this year will
be held at 7 p.m!
The past MM breeder's futurities have shown a substantial
amount of payback especially when you consider the fact
we do not have a herdsire nomination fee, we do not hold
any percentage back, but all monies go into the futurity
payback scale each year. I take all leftover MM monies and
put all of that into this futurity. This is a great place
to showcase your breeding programs. Any help with sponsorships
monies will help to increase our payback. It is because
of those that have donated and sponsored in the past that
we can continue to offer the weekend of events with the
fun twists that we do. Plan on joining us at our Sunday
morning worship service that will be led again this year
by our very own Mr. Don Topliff. The only stalls that will
be pre assigned are for the MM Gold and Silver sponsors.
Other stalls will not be pre assigned before arrival. All
stalls must be cleaned before leaving. Some barns may be
available closer to the show arena, you may bring gates
if you wish to use those areas; however you still need to
pay stall fees and clean out all stalls. We invite you to
come and be a part of the ever growing, ever popular Millennium
Magic! New plan on being a part
of our very first Millennium Magic Fall Festival September
27-28, 2008!
Our host motel is Super 8 (517) 265-8888, we have a block
of 20 rooms held at the rate of $65.60 + tax. Reservations
need to be made by April 20, 2008, mention Millennium
Magic.

Millennium Magic history
The first Millennium Magic was held in 2000.
For many years I had thought about holding a unique type
of show with not only a llama show, but also a breeder's
futurity, a llama sale and a few other exciting offerings.
Prior to MM, there had not been a futurity held in Michigan.
I also wanted the flexibility to add other fun things to
the weekend of events. Throughout the years some things
have been added and some things have been taken out to create
the annual uniqueness and magic to the Millennium Magic
event! We offer a very fun weekend with fellowship, tough
competition, and a weekend you will never forget. My dream
of this being a great event has come true. We are nationally
recognized and have folks attend our show from several states
in the US. The exhibitors have come to love our wonderful
fellowship time and dinner that our local 4-H families put
on for us on Saturday evenings, with all proceeds going
to the Lenawee 4-H. Many exhibitor's come together to donate
items for our donation table and oftentimes there are enough
free prizes that nearly everyone gets a free gift as numbers
are called throughout dinner. MM has had many generous sponsors
and volunteers throughout the years that really help this
event to run smoothly. We offer really exciting awards to
our winners! We have the best show photographers, Dale &
Gayle Perne' of IPI Instaplak awards, and not only do they
have our photos ready in minutes, but they offer some really
great award ideas for our event. Our MM breeder's futurity
pays back through 10th place along with first place &
Grand & Reserve awards being given. One of the first
Futurities in existence, we are still the only futurity
to offer the vast array of classes that we do. Check out
our mm futurity page for more info and to see the amount
we have been able to payout to our exhibitor's throughout
the years. Our Sunday mornings always begin with a beautiful
worship service before our futurity classes. This is a one
of a kind event! We have a full offering of all classes
at the double judged llama show, we have a great dinner,
generally a really nice offering of llamas for sale, rounding
out the weekend with our fantastic MM breeder's futurity
- a great place to showcase all breeding programs. You can
see llama halter classes, all four wool divisions offered,
showmanship classes, cart classes, and many performance
classes such as obstacle, public relations and pack classes
for youth and open entrants. In 2006 we offered two very
special exhibitor's with disabilities classes for the very
first time. We took a year off in 2007! Once ILR stepped
up to the plate to offer our llama community a great place
and venue for an award prgram, it was time to "give
er our all" once again and we again bring to you an
exciting weekend, at a wonderful place that enables all
to enjoy our llama friends and come together to see all
that llamas really can do! You will see many more New things
offered to you in 2008: Miniature llama classes, Youth Halter
classes, new sale and dinner time format for Saturday evening.
Best of Show awards to be given during our open llama show,
and one of the best changes of all is that we will no longer
be an ALSA sanctioned show. Millennium Magic show motto:
Take some time along the way to see what's nice about today.
